Economic Impact Press releases Services

The Québec City Convention Centre presents a very positive review of its 2024-2025 year, marked by outstanding economic performance and visionary leadership. During this fiscal year, the Convention Centre welcomed over 250,000 visitors to 209 events, generating an estimated $166 million in direct economic spinoffs for the region.

The 2024-2025 year stands as the Convention Centre’s second-best year since its opening in 1996, with revenues exceeding targets, largely due to the sale of auxiliary services for events. This achievement reflects the agility and expertise of its teams, who consistently meet the expectations of event organizers while delivering high quality services.

Leadership That Exceeds Expectations

Appointed in April 2024, the Québec City Convention Centre’s new President and CEO made an immediate impact in her first year by spearheading several key strategic projects. These include a new strategic plan aligned with bold objectives for sustainable development, innovation and international visibility. Beyond helping to redefine the Centre’s ambitious vision, Caroline Lepage’s inclusive and unifying leadership style has strengthened connections with internal teams, the Board of Directors, and key partners such as Québec City Business Destination and the Québec City’s Ambassadors’ Club United by a shared ambition, they are working together to position Québec City as a must-visit destination for major international business events.

A Role That Goes Beyond Annual Results

Locally, the Québec City Convention Centre supports more than 1,300 jobs each year, nearly half of which are held by individuals under the age of 35. Much more than a venue, the Convention Centre serves as a true hub where different sectors of Québec’s economy come together.

Thanks to strong collaboration between its teams and partners, the Québec City Convention Centre remains at the forefront of event industry trends while staying true to its mission of showcasing the city on the international stage. The 2024-2025 year once again demonstrated that Québec is not only a top-tier destination for major conventions and business events but also a catalyst for lasting impact across the region.
