From August 20 to 24, 2023, the Québec City Convention Centre hosted the 16th edition of the International Congress of Neuroimmunology, generating impressive intellectual and economic spin-offs for Québec City.
Dr. Luc Vallières, Professor of Molecular Medicine at Université Laval, served as president of the organizing committee for this major event of the International Society of Neuroimmunology (ISNI). Dr. Vallières’ involvement and dedication, along with the support of the Québec City Convention Centre and Québec City’s Ambassadors’ Club teams, were instrumental in attracting this congress to Québec City, bringing together over 660 participants from around the world.

Dr. Vallières’ international congress was a success on many fronts, earning the “Event of the Year 2023” award from the Ambassadors’ Club. The event alone generated $1.5 million in economic benefits for the Québec City region, while also advancing knowledge and technology in the field of neuroimmunology and life sciences.
