The Québec City Convention Centre is Recycling Disposable Masks

Sustainability

The Québec City Convention Centre is working with a Québec company named Go Zero Recycle to recycle disposable masks. 5 recycling boxes have been placed throughout the Convention Centre to make sure meeting attendees and visitors can safely recycle their mask and lessen their environmental footprint.

“I was shocked at seeing masks strewn about in the streets. Québec City is usually such a clean city. I decided to research Québec businesses that offered to recycle disposable masks. This seemed like a natural step to help meeting attendees and Convention Centre visitors dispose of their masks. Go Zero Recycle seemed like a great fit for the Convention Centre. They even offer traceability. You only need to enter the box number given at pick-up to track your box in the recycling cycle,” explains Marc Poirier, Director of Building Management and Event Support.
