Sanitary measures at events: Spotlight on the Imagine Van Gogh exhibit

We will all remember summer 2020 as a season marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and the devastating consequences on business events and conventions. At the Québec City Convention Centre alone, 14 national and international conventions were inadvertently cancelled in the summer due to government directives to limit large gatherings. But that didn’t get the Convention Centre team down! It had an ace up its sleeve: the immersive Imagine Van Gogh exhibit!
A Comprehensive Health and Safety Plan
The Québec City Convention Centre had already implemented its Health and Safety Plan, which was approved by the Province of Québec’s health authority. However, to host the Imagine Van Gogh exhibit, the Convention Centre had to also to guarantee an exceptionally safe and healthy environment for the general public. The team overcame the challenge as Dr. Horacio Arruda, Québec’s National Public Health Director, gave their sanitary measures a thumbs up! The Québec City Convention Centre became the first venue in Québec to hold a major event once lockdown measures eased.
