to Past Events

From May 13 to 15, 2019, the Québec City Convention Centre hosts the GAC-MAC-IAH/CNC Annual Meeting 2019.

Organized by the Geological Association of Canada (AGC), Canada Mineralogical Association (CMA) and the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH), three Canadian geoscience organizations, this conference will be held under the theme “Where geosciences converge”. The theme honors the three geological provinces converging on Québec, namely the Grenville, the St. Lawrence platform and the Appalachians. Several organizations are involved in the local organizing committee: INRS, Université Laval, the Geological Survey of Canada, Natural Resources Canada and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.

The program of this joint conference provides a brief overview of the research being conducted by the GAC, CMA and IAH community whose contribution is critical to the economic prosperity and well-being of the nation. In addition to conferences, annual meetings, plenary sessions, special and general sessions that make up the scientific program, the conference offers exhibition of globally recognized companies, universities and institutions working in the fields of geology, minerals, groundwater, earth sciences, the environment, and energy. Activities will also allow participants to discover Québec City thanks to guided tours of the city, tours of its craft microbreweries and dinner cruise on the St. Lawrence River.
