A Speaker\u2019s Home Stage: Karina\u2019s Story<\/h2>\n \n

Karina Lehoux<\/strong> is no stranger to the stage. As a professional emcee, she has hosted countless business events. Her connection with the Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre, however, is something special.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach time I come here, my heart is full,<\/em>\u201d she says. \u201cThis is not just a stage or a contract. It is a place where I feel completely at home<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Karina emphasizes the synergy between her role and the support she receives behind the scenes. The warmth, professionalism, and respect she experiences in every interaction fuel her presence on stage. \u201cWhen I step into the spotlight, I carry with me the energy and kindness I have received backstage. From Travel Blogger to Confident Creator: Amy\u2019s Story<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

For Amy Green<\/strong>, the UK-based cultural travel blogger behind TempleSeeker.com<\/a>, the Centre was the catalyst for a major business pivot.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

\u201cAttending TBEX<\/a> at the Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre truly transformed my business,\u201d <\/em>she says. \u201cIt was my first time at the conference, and the sessions on video and AI gave me the tools to finally step confidently into YouTube.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Since her visit, Amy has launched successful video content, including a short filmed at the Saint Joseph’s Oratory that garnered over 1,500 views in days. \u201cI left Qu\u00e9bec feeling energized and connected to a global community. From First Event to Full-Circle Career: Heather\u2019s Story<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

For Heather Reid<\/strong>, CEO of Planner Protect<\/a> and a seasoned event planner with over 30 years of experience, our walls hold the “bookends” of her career.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

\u201cIn the 1990s, the Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre hosted the very first full conference I ever planned. In 2023, it hosted my last. It was a beautiful, full-circle moment.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Heather\u2019s journey involved bringing numerous associations to the Centre, consistently citing the team’s support as the gold standard. She was so impressed that she nominated two team members for an industry award\u2014which they won. The most emotional moment? Reconnecting with Isabelle Godin, a former sales professional who returned to volunteer at the Centre after retirement. \u201cWe both shed a few tears. It was deeply emotional.<\/em>\u201d

Setting the Bar High: Catherine\u2019s Story<\/h2>\n \n

Catherine Bachand<\/strong>, speaker and radio host at Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s WKND radio, has delivered her conference Y\u2019a pas de hasard<\/a> (There\u2019s No Such Thing as Chance)<\/em> dozens of times. Her experience at the Qu\u00e9bec City event venue, however, stood out as truly unforgettable.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I arrived at the Centre, I felt like C\u00e9line Dion,<\/em>\u201d she laughs. \u201cI have never had such a grand, heartfelt welcome<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Catherine, the team\u2019s kindness and their deep understanding of a speaker\u2019s reality made all the difference. \u201cThey know exactly what it takes to deliver a keynote; it isn\u2019t always easy to manage the stress and stage fright. Their calm and professionalism allowed me to show up fully and give it my all. I felt supported, welcomed, under no pressure, and completely free to be myself.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

This experience left a lasting impression: \u201cThe team at the Centre has truly set the bar high for every other venue where I will present my conference.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n

A Testament to Trust: Alison\u2019s Story<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

For Alison Nash<\/strong>, Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists<\/a> (CAO), returning to the Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre was more than a professional milestone. It marked the culmination of years of collaboration, trust, and meaningful connection through some of the industry\u2019s most challenging times.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

\u201cOnly three times in our 75-year history have we had to cancel our Annual Scientific Session because of global events,<\/em>\u201d she explains. \u201cTwo of them were scheduled to be held in Qu\u00e9bec City.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

The first instance was in 2001. The CAO team was already en route to the venue when the 9\/11 attacks unfolded. With the immediate support of the Convention Centre and city suppliers, they managed to cancel the entire event before it even began. When the conference was finally held in 2005, the welcome they received made a lasting impression on every attendee. History mirrored itself in 2021 when the pandemic forced another cancellation. This time, the Centre demonstrated its trademark flexibility and care by helping move the entire event to 2025. \u201cWhen our members finally came back last year, it was a long eight years after we first signed the contract. Yet it felt like greeting old friends. The Convention Centre staff were just as eager to host us as they were those many years ago<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
