A full professor with Universit\u00e9 Laval\u2019s Department of Rehabilitation in the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Dionne is also a regular researcher with CHU de Qu\u00e9bec\u2013Universit\u00e9 Laval\u2019s Population Health and Optimal Health Practices Axis and is the head of research activities at the Qu\u00e9bec Centre of Excellence in Aging (CEVQ). He sits on a number of national and international committees and is epidemiology section editor for Pain, one of the world\u2019s foremost scientific journals on pain.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

As president of the local organizing committee<\/a> for the 2019 forum, Dr. Dionne stated:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re convinced that the forum in Qu\u00e9bec City will be an important milestone <\/em>in the advancement of neck and back pain research.<\/em> The theme of the forum, \u201cBack to the Future,\u201d is a nod to the movie of the same name. It\u2019s a call for researchers to project themselves into the future and imagine the innovations that could change how we think about and treat neck and back pain and how we approach our research.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

By getting involved in attracting an international convention to Qu\u00e9bec City and helping to organize the event, Dr. Dionne has become an active member of Qu\u00e9bec City\u2019s Ambassadors\u2019 Club. He will have the support and guidance of Jocelyn Guertin, Sales Manager for the American and international markets at the Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
