The Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre announces that it will host 11 conventions of international scope in 2026, confirming once again the national capital\u2019s positioning as a premier business destination.

In total, more than 6,000 participants from dozens of countries are expected. Each convention held at the Centre contributes directly to the local economy, notably in the sectors of accommodation, restaurants, transportation, retail and tourism activities. For the greater Qu\u00e9bec City region, these international events are expected to generate estimated economic spin-offs of more than $13.6 M.

“Welcoming 11 international-calibre events is an extraordinary mark of confidence in Qu\u00e9bec City and our organization. Each of these conventions constitutes a showcase for our city, an opportunity to forge lasting ties with communities of experts and to generate significant economic, social and intellectual benefits for the entire region,” <\/em>emphasizes Ms. Caroline Lepage, President and CEO of the Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The 2026 programming is distinguished by the diversity of the sectors represented, notably the environment and sustainable development, materials sciences, crystallography, polymers, adventure tourism, forestry sciences, insurance as well as the international Francophonie. This variety testifies to the capacity of the Centre and the destination to host major events in highly specialized fields.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The season will start strong in May with the most important international convention of the year: the 45th<\/sup> annual conference of the IAIA<\/a> (International Association for Impact Assessment). It alone will bring together some 1,400 delegates. Subsequently, Qu\u00e9bec International will hold the 3rd edition of its Rendez-vous d\u2019affaires de la Francophonie<\/a><\/em>, a premier political and economic event gathering 600 participants from French-speaking countries. To close the season, the ATTA (Adventure Travel Trade Association) World Summit<\/a> will welcome 800 adventure tourism professionals, followed by IMAT 2026<\/a>, the annual meeting of ASM International, which expects 750 engineers specialized in manufacturing technologies.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
