The Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre is pleased to participate in DuoEmploi’s 2023 matchmaking program and offer an exploratory internship experience to Marie-Claude, a person with functional limitations affecting her vision.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

The DuoEmploi<\/a> project, set up by the Minist\u00e8re de l’Emploi et de la Solidarit\u00e9 Sociale and the Conseil du patronat du Qu\u00e9bec, enables people with disabilities to experience a day in the workplace with Qu\u00e9bec companies.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

On June 15, 2023, the Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre will welcome Marie-Claude so she can join the greeting services. Supported by her internship mentor, Caroline Montpetit, Customer Service Coordinator, she will perform tasks independently, meet an anything but conventional team, and explore the ins and outs of the event industry.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The DuoEmploi project not only raises companies’ awareness of equal employment opportunities and inclusion but it also highlights the skills of people with disabilities and prepares them for integration into the workforce.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

From June 1 to June 7, 2023, the 27th<\/sup> edition of the Semaine qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise des personnes handicap\u00e9es is taking place. At the Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre, we believe that even the smallest gestures can make a big difference in promoting their social participation and enabling them to leverage 100% of their abilities.
